I really love the process of working with every individual. I truly believe that everyone has their own unique talent, and that the main goal of a teacher is to inspire  each student to believe in his/her special abilities and to work towards making his/her talent stand out. Coming from the background of very intense musical trainining and from extremely competitive classical music environment, I can say with certainty that the most important feature each student needs to develop is the desire to work and create their own perspective on music. Of course, certain things are necessary to le

Too often piano lessons are spoiled by overemphasis on repetitive exercise and etudes. This approach is antiquated and usually ineffective. In my studio learning and refining music is always the priority. Different tools, such a vocalization and outlining often help my students make vast technical leaps without ever having to spend hours strengthening their fingers. Sometimes an exercise is appropriate, to isolate one difficulty can save time. But music is of the ears, not the hands, so that is always where we begin.  I am Juilliard trained and an experienced performer. I've had extensive
