Al Terzo, keyboard specialist, has been teaching music since 1969. Currently a member of the Music Teachers National Association, the New Jersey Music Teachers Association,
National Association of Music Educators, Governing Board member of the Mid Atlantic Music Teachers Guild, and the American Accordion Association.
Al has performed in many concert venues including Symphony Hall in Newark, Union County Arts Center, Hunterdon Hills Playhouse, the Garden State Arts Center, and the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. Many of Al's students have won various state and regional championships. Two student recitals are held each year as well as a competition in the Spring.
Seeing how the student progresses & knowing I had something to do with that progress.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every student is different. I taylor my curriculum according to the students age & attention span. My main concern is to teach the student correctly from the beginning including being able to read music. Making sure the student's lesson is enjoyable. If it's not enjoyable, they won't practice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
11 years music studies at the Major School of Music in Irvington, N.J. - BA, Rutgers University.
Board Member of the Mid Atlantic Music Teachers Guild, Member of the Music Teachers National Association, Member of the New Jersey Music Teachers Association, Board member of the American Accordion Association.

$40.00 per 1/2 hour private lesson in the students home.
Payable monthly. Discounts for households with more than one student.

I hold 2 yearly recitals. In June & December. Students recieve a certificate & trophy.
