NINA GREEN, Professional Musician, Classically trained Piano teacher IN CRANFORD STUDIO. I hold a Bachelor in Music in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy with high honors. I have been teaching Children, Teenagers and Adults from age 5,5 to 70 yrs old - Beginners, Intermediate and Advance level students for 30 years. I am a Member of MTNA and NJ-MEA (Music Educator Association); my students play in recitals and auditions in various NJ Colleges. I teach Classical, Contemporary, Popular, Folk, Musical Theater styles, sight reading and musical theory. I am VERY patient and always work at the students pace. Lessons are structured to meet the needs and desires of each student. My goal is to develop correct piano technique, imagination and musical talent of every student, I strive to teach them to play piano pieces with shadings, colors and soul, Learning to play an instrument should be a fun, challenging, and rewarding experience, I motivate my students to practice and learn to play the piano to the best of their abilities. Recitals are offered twice a year as well as an opportunity to participate in auditions ( Optional) held by NJ-MEA in various NJ colleges I am very proud of the students that performed every year and received Outstanding and Excellent grades in Auditions and Competitions.
I love watching my students grow musically. It makes me extremely happy to see them perform beautiful pieces of music!
I have a passion for piano and hope that every student of mine learns from me to love music for the rest of their life and never stops to play.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Introduction to piano fundamentals, hand position, starting to read and write music notation. Play pieces from Bastein, Alfred.
Transfer students who have some experience playing piano are evaluated. Assignment are given according to evaluation.
