What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It is very important to get to know each student, as each one is different and what works for someone is not necessarly true for someone else. I like to talk to my students, get to know their likes and dislikes, what kind of repertoire they are trying to play, what pieces they have study, and propose a workplan based on their answers.
