About this pro

The Jersey Shore Jazz Workshop provides Jazz improvisation lessons in a jazz combo format for aspiring adult musicians.

I also do private online lessons. Tuition is at the rate of $100 per hour.

It has always been a pleasure having a life and career in the creative arts, but it is always my greatest pleasure meeting new students of music and walking with them along their journey. It is a privledge for me to share the bits of knowledge I picked up along my path as a musician.

As an Australian lover of Jazz music, I recently spent time in USA and upon recommendation I attended a Jersey Shore Jazz Workshop session with Jeff. This was an experience that has furthered my interest and motivated me to approach Jeff and seek further tuition online between visiting the US. Jeff has an effective approach that boosted my confidence and my ability as a student musician from the initial session. I highly recommend Jeff for anyone looking to explore their music interest and reveal their musical potential.

Jeff gave me some really good ideas about my music and some book recommendations.

I highly recommend Jeff. He gave me some really sound advice, with some good starting points to jump off of. Reference books and exercises to help me expand my musical thoughts. Great guy to talk to and learn from.

Highly Recommended. I'm a veteran and sought out consulting services from Jeff at Jersey Shore Jazz Workshop because he too is a veteran. He provided me with some excellent strategies to optimize GI Bill benefits and save me roughly $30,000 in tuition cost. He's quick to respond and knows the inner workings of the business better than anyone. I highly recommend his services. Matt H- Jazz Guitar/ Veteran

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I do an informal conversation with prospective students to see if they are prepared and ready to begin instruction at the workshop. Although we specilaize in aspiring adult musicians, instrumentalist should have a basic familairity with written music, chords, major and minor scales.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I spent many years studying under master musicians while honing my craft. I have also served 20 years in the US Army Jazz Ambassadors. In that time, I've learned the finer points of guiding musicians and helping them during their various stages of development.
