About
Here is the basic run down of how my lessons usually go!
------------------------
1 hour session is $40 a session
Could be paid by the lesson or by the month.
Lessons would be Once a week and we will find a day/time that works for both of us.
Every lesson will start with a warm up before leading into any Repertoire you may want to work on.
Our first lesson will consist of finding your true range/voice type, the genre that best suits your voice, and discussing how to find songs to work on in a session.
Our goals for your training will consist of but are not limited to such things as:
- breathing/support techniques
- a new understanding of your resonators and how to use/find them
- a look into how the body influences the voice through the scope of Aurthur Lessac and his Techniques
- the ability to control and affectively use the larynx through the scope of Seth Riggs's technique called "Speech Level Singing"
- a knowledge of different types of genres of music ranging from Broadway to Pop, Jazz, Rock, and more.
- (if interested) the ability to read (basically) vocal parts in music, recognize notes on the page, and basic music theory
And more!
Please use my number provided above for anymore questions and I look forward to working with you!
Nothing gives me more satisfaction than seeing the reactions my students have when they experience something they have never done before, or thought they couldn't do at all. I love to bring confidence and vocal longevity/reliability to my students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First we will get a sense of range and where your voice sits.
We will also identify if there is any vocal damage that needs to be remedied before moving into full Technical work.
I will take the first lesson to get to know you as a performer, and vocalist, and set some goals for us to work towards in our time together!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained as a volcalist/vocal coach under Badiene Magaziner and Joseph Olsen. Badiene of whom is a world renowned opera singer and one of Seth Riggs first students.
I specialize in the contemporary musical theatre, pop/rock styles.
I am also a Musical Theatre major along with having a minor in Communicstion Disorders (SLP)
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are typically 40 dollars for an hour.
I do not do half hours because that short a time is not fair to the development of the student.
How did you get started teaching?
I first started teaching when I assistant musical directed a performance of Spring Awakening at a local theatre. Ever since then i fell in love with the difference I can make in people's voices and how they work as future collaborators.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have a well balanced age range of people I have worked with: the youngest being around 12 and the oldest 27. I do not prefer to teach students younger than 12 due to the dangers of damaging the ever developing prepubescent vocal chords.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Pick a teacher that vibes with you. I have had multiple teachers in the past but the ones that stick with me to this day are the ones that not only took a true interest in my voice, but also took a particular interest in me. You need to feel comfortable with your coach, and be willing to have fun, make mistakes, and creat a healthy learning environment. I would recommend a Facetime call with all of your potential teachers (or a top 3) and get to know eachother. Im always willing to call!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What have you struggled on in the past?
what is the genre that gives you the most issues?
what do you want to do with this voice of yours? (Is this a hobby, long term job, etc.)
