Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New members meet and greet for a fast assessment. This allows is to understand each child's needs to determne the appropriate next step.
Second step would be to run a series of prvate lessons to prepare the student and get to now their stregnths and weknesses. This also allows the student to understand what is expected of them. It is after this process we better understand the stduents needs and make the class selection. At this time either the student or our facility will determine if martial arts is a good fit for both of us.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training and teachinge experience goes back to 1986 (to present) under the Moo Duk Kwan Founders son-HC Hwang. Traditional martial arts training under a superior instructor.
Additonal experience comes from working with the Saint Barnabas Medical Centers Pediatric OT/PT Rehabilitation department for children with special needs.

Know what you are looking for, ask questions that satisfy your needs, and above all be sure the instructor is certified and connected to a national organization and will be around for a very long time.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why are you thinking about taking lessons? What are you looking to achieve?
