Dr. Jenny Chien has her expertises in piano performance and pedagogy. She has been teaching students at all levels, in AZ, IL and NJ, for many years. Her students has been participating ABRSM piano/ theory/ trumpet exams, MEA piano auditions, IMPACT young artists competitions, and Cecilian music club monster concert, all had outstanding performances.

Piano and music is Dr. Jenny Chien's passion. She hopes to create an encouraging environment where she can bring the joy of music to her students and help them become the best possible musicians.

Her mission is to cover all aspects of misicianship: performance, techniques, theory, formal analysis, harmony, ear training, sight reading, and a comprehensive study of musical literature in a progressive order.

Miss Jenny is my son’s favorite teacher, with whom we started learning piano four years ago. Besides the fact that Miss Jenny holds a Ph. D degree in music, she is very patient and always encourages her students. She is particularly accommodating when we need to change lesson time for other extracurricular activities.

Every year we look forward to the recital event Miss Jenny organized, because she always got nice venues, and surprisingly there was a variety of delicious food brought by parents and families to celebrate.

In addition, she registers kids for ABRSM exams and shows up at every exam, the kids and parents love to have her on the exam day.

Miss Jenny is a hidden gem in Edison, NJ area, and if you are looking for your kids’ first piano teacher or higher level teacher, she won’t disappoint you, I highly recommend her! And thank you Miss Jenny!

Ms. Jenny is an excellent instructor. My child has been with her for 3 years and what I appreciate the most about Ms. Jenny is her profound skill and knowledge in piano and her ability to instruct even the youngest of students. She gives her students opportunities to perform in different concerts throughout the state and also hosts her own recital once a year. Her passion is for her students to excel and grow as true musicians, being able to read and play music on the piano with confidence.

Dr. Jenny is an amazing piano teacher. She herself is an accomplished concert pianist. She has a gentle and direct way of teaching all her students which makes the lessons enjoyable, yet productive. Students have opportunities to perform at recitals and to venture out and take external piano exams. I highly recommend Miss Jenny!
