I have three years, going on four now of teaching experience. I currently am a tutor with WyzAnt Tutor, Inc. and received a five star rating. I am open to any style, instrument, or handicap. I do not limit my own playing to any certain rule or regulations. If you want to learn music, I can teach you music. Professionally, I have taught as an Independent Teacher, Taught in a Music Shop in Orlando, Florida, and continue to teach with opportunities that WyzAnt, Inc. presents to me. I see each individual as a great opportunity for me and am honored to become their trusted source for learning music. I tied for second place, in the 7th National Bartok/Kabalevsky competition, when it was held in VIrginia, when I was 17 years old. First place in the Virginia State Competition was I was 15 years old. I have audition experience with the Roanoke Youth Symphony Orchestra, of Roanoke VA and was the youngest member to make it when I was 15. I later achieved the college experience, when I passed my music audition for Cairn University and University of Central Florida. I performed in Marching and Concert Bands in Highschool. So, my range of instruments include not just piano and violin, but also: tenor saxophone and alto clarinet and even recorder and xylophone. My main objective is to have a relaxed, enjoyable free-style, lesson hour that includes mutual respect with every one of my students whether they are just beginning or intermediate. I teach children with ADHD and some that are considered gifted through the public school system. I have also had the privilege to teach children that are challenged with epilepsy, etc..My personal advice to any student who wants to learn music, is to consider the balance between your desires to learn and the cost of this very expensive learning experience. The rewards of learning an instrument, does not happen over night. I want my students to understand that it takes practice, every day to learn a musical instrument. I take my teaching seriously, because I want the student to learn and have that talent in their souls that prepares them in a special, unique way, for life.
