About
I am a passionate teacher with students of all ages and levels! I am experienced in teaching remotely via Zoom as well as in student's homes. I have BM and MM degrees in piano pedagogy and performance from Westminster Choir College of Rider University, and a DMA from the University of Michigan. I am a nationally certified teacher by the Music Teachers National Association. I currently run an independent studio in central NJ consisting of around 30 students, and am looking to expand! I also teach as a college professor at Westminster Choir College, and act as the music director at Allentown United Methodist Church in Allentown, NJ.
My students learn many styles from classical to lead sheet, popular, and even a bit of jazzy styles of music. I primarily use Faber's Piano Adventures, as well as supplementary classical repertoire books and materials from the Royal Conservatory of Music.
My students have been successful in all levels of the Royal Conservatory of Music exams from Prep B through level 10. They regularly perform in recitals and festivals. Recent concert venues include Jacobs Music Recital Hall in Lawrenceville, NJ as well as Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall.

I teach with passion, and strive to bring out the very best in each of my students. Once I find out what excites and motivates, we run with that, and exceptional learning takes place! There's no better reward for both teacher and student than seeing the student progress from a total beginner to an accomplished musician. This has indeed happened with many of my students, and the feeling is indescribable! No matter what level a student comes to me at, there is always room to grow, and I can help you determine and achieve your goals!

How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching in piano stores with a small studio in the back of the store, as well as teaching in local community music schools. My studio quickly filled up, and after many referrals I decided to become independent so I had more control and flexibility. I always dreamed of running an independent studio, and now I am proud to have had it for 10 years and counting!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have work with students ages 5 through adult. I typically teach beginners through RCM level 10. I enjoy teaching enthusiastic students who love music and are eager to learn!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my students earned the "Grand Prix" rating for his virtual audition for Music Fest. I was very proud to hear this news, and hope my students can continue to achieve great things like this in the future!
