About

I've had the pleasure of singing since I was 6 years old, and teaching voice lessons since 1987. I struggled vocally as a young singer, and eventually "lost" the ability to sing my top notes...because I was using only my THROAT to sing, and not using my BODY!!! It took me a year to figure out how to access my upper notes correctly. Once I learned how to use my BODY to sing, no more struggling with the top of my range!! Now, I can use my years of experience as a professional singer and teacher to teach YOU how to sing properly. I help each student discover their own INDIVIDUAL voice, encouraging each student to use THEIR UNIQUE GIFT in a healthy way. I am well-versed in the opera, musical theater and sacred vocal repertoires. I have even helped a few jazz and country singers along the way!! No matter what style you prefer to sing, a SOLID TECHNIQUE is absolutely KEY to a long and productive career!! I look forward to working with YOU. PLEASE NOTE: I TEACH IN MANHATTAN in my apartment, OR if you prefer, at various music rehearsal studios throughout NEW YORK CITY...I do NOT travel outside of Manhattan. I charge $60 for a one hour voice lesson. If you choose to have voice lessons in a downtown studio, there is an addition studio fee of $20 ($80 in total). Thank you!!

Incredibly, my voice students range in age from 9 to 87!! Each student requires an individual approach; we all have different life experiences. I am not a "one size fits all" teacher. My approach is structured to each student's UNIQUE needs. I get a thrill seeing and hearing my students improve. Once you master a solid technique, you will have absolutely NO FEAR singing in public!! Then, the JOY of making music takes over. It's truly amazing to see the reactions of friends and family when they hear my singers improve, after I have taught them! :-)

I came to Keith for help with my tendency to tighten up so much I could produce a note. He focuses on proper physical management of ones vocal instrument (body) to produce beautiful sound without strain. I now enjoy singing again and have improved my range as well as surprised myself with the quality of sound I can now produce.
Keith is very supporting, full of praise, and a pleasure to work with.

Keith is an awesome voice teacher. My Mom encouraged me to try a few lessons and it went so well that I begged her to let me take her lesson time! I recently sang for my aunt who is a vocalist, and she was amazed at the sound of my voice. Thank you Keith! Your method really works!

I charge $60 an hour for a voice lesson, which includes my fee as an accompanist, and the cost ot rent a rehearsal studion in New York City.

I was approached by audience members after a performance of the opera "Don Pasquale"; these kind people stated they really loved my singing, and asked me if I taught voice lessons...that's how I began teaching...the rest is history.
