About
I am passionate about coaching the next generation of theater artists. I love musical theater and want to spead to joy of theater to students of all ages! I have taught theater classes for students as young as 6 where we focus on the foundations of acting, singing, and movement to college audition prep where I've helped my students get into musical theater programs at Emerson, Hartt, and NYU. I myself, went through the college audition process and know how gureling it can be. I graduated from the Hartt School with a BFA in musical theater and have been a working musical theater actor professionally for 10 years- working in NYC theater as well as across the country. I have taught vocie lessons, actor training, monolouge and song coaching, tap, ballet technique, and theater jazz dance and am well equipt to help with whatever your needs may be! Wether it's just having fun to serious audition prep. Due to covid19 all coachings and classes are online, therefore you do not need to be in NYC to take from me! i am happy to accomodate whatever timezone you're in! Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First we'll talk about the area's the student wishes to improve. Do you need help with singing, acting, or dance? What would you like to accomplish in your coaching? From there we get to work starting usually with a technique assesement for those who are looking for audition prep and with some warm up exersises for those who are just looking to improve overal skills. My coachings are completely tailored to my students needs and everyone is different. For my younger students who are just curious about theater we will be covering the basics and just discovering the joy of performance. For older and more experienced artists we might be working towards a specific goal of improving pirouettes or audition song technique, or working towards college auditions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA from The Hartt School which is a top musical theater conservatory program. I have been working as a musical theater actor for 10 years in NYC theater as well as many theaters around the USA. I have also taught theater and dance at Camp Grier and Camp Oasis (Elizaville location). I was children's show chior director at Riverfront Family Church in CT. I have also been privately coaching students for 6 years and have helped students audition for colleges (and get in!) as well as improve performance technique.
