About
I’m a Russian trained pedagogue and performer with over 30 years of teaching experience, as faculty in colleges to working with small children. I will give you my best and I expect the same of my students: there can be no improvement without hard work and a commitment to quality. In music, we get out of it, what we put into it, just like in sports.
My students have performed at Carnegie Hall, and won awards in competitions throughout Europe and Russia. I can give you references if you like. I am a demanding teacher and I get results because I expect the best of my students and help achieve their full potential. I love working with adults and children, regardless of their musical goals. For adults especially, music lessons can be very therapeutic and a wonderful break from their regular routine. Lessons music be challenging enough to make progress, but exciting and enjoyable too so we keep up the hard work that will bring the best results. Most importantly, we all need to play with live accompaniment: I am one of the few teachers I know who has accompanied her violin students on piano in concertos and other difficult pieces.
I expect all violin students to study piano, theory and violin, requiring a 90 min lesson if lessons are done once a week. Piano students must also study theory, and can limit their lessons to 1 hour.

of her students regardless of their skill level. What I have particularly appreciated is her
emphasis on musicality rather than mere technical accomplishment.

I charge $80 per hour. All of my violin students have to take piano and music theory classes, so weekly lesson is 1.5 hour of duration and cost is $120 per week. It's also possible to take two one hour classes per week or more, depending on your goals. Payment for the month of lessons is due on the first day of the month via Paypal or Venmo.
