About

I’m a Russian trained pedagogue and performer with over 30 years of teaching experience, as faculty in colleges to working with small children. I will give you my best and I expect the same of my students: there can be no improvement without hard work and a commitment to quality. In music, we get out of it, what we put into it, just like in sports.

My students have performed at Carnegie Hall, and won awards in competitions throughout Europe and Russia. I can give you references if you like. I am a demanding teacher and I get results because I expect the best of my students and help achieve their full potential. I love working with adults and children, regardless of their musical goals. For adults especially, music lessons can be very therapeutic and a wonderful break from their regular routine. Lessons music be challenging enough to make progress, but exciting and enjoyable too so we keep up the hard work that will bring the best results. Most importantly, we all need to play with live accompaniment: I am one of the few teachers I know who has accompanied her violin students on piano in concertos and other difficult pieces.

I expect all violin students to study piano, theory and violin, requiring a 90 min lesson if lessons are done once a week. Piano students must also study theory, and can limit their lessons to 1 hour.

She has taught my son (now 13) piano and violin for years, and has always been the consummate professional. He has learned so much about his chosen instruments, and about music in general, under her tutelage. It has been wonderful to watch his talent grow under Olgas careful eye. If you have a child who is interested in lessons and serious about the art, or if you yourself are, she is the perfect teacher.

Olga is a highly skilled musician and instructor. She is the perfect blend a professional and friendly. I looked forward to her lessons every week. Her love of music is infectious and practicing very quickly became one of the most joyful and stress relieving part of my day. She arranges Adult Music Cafe recitals to bring her adult students together to hang out, show what we’ve learned and, of course, eat delicious food. Saying goodbye to Olga as my music instructor was one of the hardest things I had to do when leaving New Mexico. Even in leaving, she made sure to help me find a skilled professional music instructor in my new state. As an added benefit, her sister is also a music teacher and helped me find the first piano I ever bought. I highly recommend Olga as your first choice for music instructor.

Olga genuinely cares about her students and is a motivating force in our children’s lives to excel and find their best inner musicians. She believes in each student and isn’t afraid to push for excellence. We cherish working with Olga and are thrilled our children have this unique and rare opportunity.
