Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start with asking my client about daily habits, hobbies/sports, past injuries, and any pain they may be experiencing. It's important I get a comprehensive understanding so that I can adjust our practice for any physiological or psychological needs.
Next, I'd set some goals for the client and I to reach and begin!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am trained in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga and am certified by the Yoga Alliance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
20 per lesson. Each lesson is a hour.
Packages: 10 lessons for $200 , 5 lessons for $100.
How did you get started teaching?
Prior to becoming an instructor, I was practicing yoga on my own to help balance my mental health and improve my physical health. Eventually I reached a point where I felt that I wanted to teach and spread the word. I felt pretty passionately about yoga and I love seeing others succeed, so these were the culprits that led me to begin the training to become a yoga instructor.
What types of students have you worked with?
Lovely, focused individuals with a beginner background. (Most have no experience in yoga whatsoever)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently, I recieved my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training Certification of Completion. We celebrated at a beautiful house in blue diamond.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the teacher respects all of yoga and its surrounding philosophy. Yoga extends far beyond the poses (asanas).
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do I want to get out of this?
