About

Hello, I am always happy to share my love for the violin. I know I am a very lucky person because I am blessed to do professionally exactly what I love to do - play the violin and help others discover and use the incredible expressive potential of this instrument. In my teaching style, I implement all the experience and knowledge I have gained through years of diverse training and schools, both in Europe and the USA. Although my major in college was Music Education, I have always loved performance too. That is why I kept pursuing and maintaining an active orchestral career, a Master in Violin Performance degree, limited the teaching just to private or group violin lessons, with some chamber music coaching, as well. I believe all my students know that making music (and playing the violin) is fun! However, the more "know-how" and technique we gain - the more fun we could have.

Frequently asked questions

First I schedule one free of charge introductory consultation, which gives us both, the student and me, a chance to meet, discuss our interests, goals, and style of work. Simply get to know each other and determine if we connect and can work well together. Usually, my lessons are student-centered.

Graduate of the Academy for Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv, BG. Major - Music Education.

I am a professional violinist with many years of experience as an orchestral musician. Also, I am actively engaged in some chamber music formations and have earned a contract with the Reno Chamber Orchestra.

Yes, in my studio I charge $50/ hour and prefer to collect student's tuition monthly, on the first day of any calendar month. I offer an alternative time for "makeup" of missed lessons if the student contacts me in advance with a reasonable excuse and need to reschedule. I DO NOT offer "roll over" or refunds for a "no show". Visits to students' places are pricier and scheduled after a reasonable agreement.

Moving to the USA, and getting settled in Reno, NV area introduced me to the local culture, musical life, and community. I discovered briefly that teaching is a wonderful way to pass my experience and love of music on to the younger generation (possibly even future musicians).
