Rachel Cohen Piano Studio

I'm born and raised in Westchester, NY. After graduating from Manhattanville College with a B.A. in Music, I taught lessons at the Long Ridge Music Center in Stamford, CT, and eventually started my own private studio. I taught 40+ lessons per week for ten years.

I am passionate about musical theatre, and eventually my career as a music director and pit musician took off. I have worked for many companies locally and regionally, including Interlakes Summer Theatre in New Hampshire. I also spent years working in the cruise industry, first as a cocktail pianist on Holland America Line, and then as a Music Director for Norwegian Cruise Line. I have also worked extensively in amusement parks, performing at Dorney Park in PA and California's Great America in San Jose, CA. I music direct at amusement parks seasonally, most recently at Six Flags Over Texas for their Holiday in the Park event.

I am excited to bring teaching back into the mix of my professional life.
