About
Hey there!
I'm Abrielle (Abby), nice to virtually meet you:) I am a NYC-based singer-songwriter from Portsmouth, NH. With a bachelor’s degree in songwriting and arts management, I have spent the last 10 years dedicated and devoted to music. I've released multiple singles, EPs, and LPs (100,000+ streams), toured across New England & the UK, shared stages with major artists such as Patty Griffin and Ruston Kelly. My work has been placed on shows such as RuPauls Drag Race UK, and in 2022, I won the Coffee Music Project International Award for her song, “The Women That Made Me.”
I have always found gratification in teaching, with a consistent roster of private lesson students studying original songwriting, voice, or guitar, in which each curriculum is designed specifically for each individual. I've hosted music theory and lyric writing workshops at various camps. I have organized and led songwriting programs at Little Harbor School, Berwick Academy, and Portsmouth Academy of Performing Arts.
In these lessons, I create an encouraging and safe environment for the student to learn and practice a new art form of expression. Curriculum is catered to each individual, students will be provided with tools to think outside the box and find their own voice.
My classes are for anyone, of any age, who:
• wants to learn how to write a song
• wants their kids to be intellectually stimulated or entertained with fun music games
• wants to learn some chords to play their favorite songs
• wants to better their craft (vocal performance, auditioning, writing, arranging covers to make their own)
• wants feedback on their music
Ensuring students find the JOY in music is of the utmost importance to me as a teacher and coach.
