About
My educational background and unique range of experiences make me a creative, well-informed, and enthusiasic vocal instructor.
I believe my teaching style is equal parts warm and persistent. I believe in creating a safe, encouraging environment where you have permission to be yourself and sing freely. I also believe in encouraging and gently pushing you to be the best you can be.
In addition to receiving a Master of Music in Music Theatre from NYU, I also earned an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy and served on the NYU faculty as an Adjunct Instructor for two years. My knowledge and experiences give me the ability to train each individual voice in my care with informed precision, detailed instrutcion, and all-around compassion.
While I teach all styles of music, I concentrate mostly on classical, opera, and musical theatre.
Whether you are an absolute beginner singer or a seasoned professional, I absolutely love to working with singing artists of all levels, ages, and genders. I enjoy learning a singer's unique voice, identifying specific tactics and exercises to aid in their vocal and musical growth, and watching that singer become the best version of themselves. I enjoy creating a lesson enviornment where students feel safe but also encouraged to be vulnerable and challenge themselves.
I am passionate about making singing accessible, fun, and easy!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to spend some time during our first lesson learning about a student's past experiences with voice lessons and identifying their unique musical goals. Once we establish rapport, I typically spend the first 25-35 minutes of a 60 minute lesson on warm-ups and vocal exercises. This helps me identify a student's vocal needs that particular day and give individualized input and direction to balance their voice. The remainder of the lesson is spent on repertoire.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Typically, I charge $65/hour lesson and $40/half-hour lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
During my undergraduate years, I began working as a teaching artist and vocal director for various theatre camps and workshops for kids and teens.
Upon graduation from college, I spent two years working with high school juniors and seniors as an AmeriCorps member with the non-profit, College Possible. While my work here was not centered on vocal or music instruction, my love for teaching grew into a great passion.
During graduate school, I spent two years serving on the NYU faculty as an Adjunct Instructor of Voice where I taught weekly private voice lessons to undergraduate students.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from ages three all the way to mid forties!
Most of my teaching has focused on late high school and undergraduate students.
