We are a mobile Music School that was designed for the busy professional or family.  We are a family of qualified musicians and all of our instructors are professional performing musicians. Our music  teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and  helping you to achieve them. We teach you the style of music that you want to learn.

We offer private in-home music lessons to people of all ages and experience! Band is a huge part of most schools today, which is why we specialize in band instrument education and rentals. We always encourage those of you who haven't picked up an instrument in many years to jump back in. Now is always a great time to either learn how to play a new instrument or revisit your past musical passion!

Our mission is to get an instrument into everyone's hands! We are passionate  about music and love to share that passion with you. We know the bond  that exists between the instructor and the student and enjoy cultivating that relationship.

My twelve year old loved her lessons with Katie as well as loved Katie herself. Lessons were professionally carried out with that special Katie touch!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

The best thing about my teaching method is I love to make learning fun! My motto is “If it isn’t fun then it isn’t worth doing!”
My students can always expect their first lesson to start with a FREE assessment of their abilities. After I determine my student's level, we establish a goal & I create a personalized lesson plan for each student. Each week I go over what we had previously learned and then start on something new. I send my students home with a detailed practice log and short videos to make sure they are practicing the correct way. Each month I give my students an assessment of both performance & music theory.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Katie can Play 15 instruments but, her go to instrument is the Violin. She has been playing the Violin since the age of 10, Cello age of 13, Upright Bass & Viola age of 15, and the Piano since the age of 17. She is also a String Lither and can repair and fix all stringed musical instruments.

How did you get started teaching?

The Violinist Katie (Catherine) Luense is a Classically Trained Violinist and has played as a virtuoso soloist and as first Chair in the Philharmonic Orchestra for over 40 years and is celebrated for her musical versatility as well as her dedication to musical youth programs.
She has played in the Philharmonic Orchestra in Atlanta, Philadelphia, and New York. She is the proud Owner of Guitars-N-More, LLC for 5 years now. However, on May of 2017, she closed her store in Atlanta, GA and August 21, 2017 moved here to Buffalo, NY to concentrate on private Instruction and spreading the love of music to all ages.

What types of students have you worked with?

My students ages range from 3 years old to 99 years old. I teach special needs children & adults

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

One of my Cello students (Lindsey Hellman) has become a staff musician for a large recording studio in Atlanta, GA!
