South Island Music, Inc.
About
As a long-time resident and homeowner of Wantagh, LI, I have enjoyed an excellent reputation as an experienced, NYS Certified instrumental music teacher who’s had a successful long-standing relationship with parents and students here on the south shore of Nassau County and throughout Long Island. I've taught for over 40 years and hold a BA in Performance from SUNY Stony Brook and a MS in Music Education from LIU C.W. Post. My primary instruments are all clarinets, flute and all saxophones. In addition I teach piano, oboe and trumpet. Many of my students have participated in All County, All State, All Eastern and All Nationals for years. Many are currently successful, reputable music teachers and professional musicians in their own right teaching public school music throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties and throughout the country for years. I’m a musician and teacher who loves what I do and enjoy helping students to understand and love playing music as well. I tailor lessons to the individual and explain musical concepts to the best learning possible.
I also make it fun!
I am successful at interacting with and helping students to dramatically improve on their instrument. I taylor every lesson around individual needs. I love teaching music and have for many years.
