Dan is a phenomenal teacher and is incredibly knowledgeable about the voice and its inner workings. In only a few lessons I hear substantial improvement. Highly highly recommend!

"I have never taken voice lessons before but it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while. I found a few instructors in my area through lessons.com and I messaged most of them I chose Danny Richard and it truly was the best choice . He is patient and super knowledgeable, and understands what my voice can do better than I do . I’ve been seeing him for 5 months now and my understanding of my voice has really grown , I sound better than I ever had and my stage fright has really lessened (still have a little though) . Overall I couldn’t be happier to have such an amazing singer and musician help me build my confidence and be able to express myself . He’s really nice , really talented ,and the price is reasonable . I have complaints "

I'm a first time student and Dan is very knowledgeable and patient. Very happy with my choice and I feel he actually cares about helping me to developing my own sound.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

At our first lesson, I want to get to know the person a bit, find what their current range is, see how well they can sing certain scales, and of course I like to hear the student sing a song.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Besides a BFA in music, I have 23 years of private study as well as participating in the NYSTA "professional development program. I volunteered to assist in otolaryngologist Dr Peak Woo. Studied speech w Dr Linda Carrol, Charma Caddy, and hunter college. The list of experiences go on and on... We can talk more when we have our first lesson.
