My approach offers student-guided instruction; lessons are personally tailored to student interests. Within a variety of genres, my lessons can help you with technique, sight-reading, music literacy, phrasing, and much more!
As a recent graduate of Syracuse University with a B.M. in Music Education, I am a well-equipped music teacher dedicated to implementing modernized techniques in order to accommodate various learning styles.
Lessons are offered for Piano, Guitar, Bass, Clarinet, Audio Production, Music Theory, and Songwriting.

- Music Director for On Broadway Performing Arts Training Program in Harlem, NY.
- Director and Founder of Syracuse University’s Music Mentoring Program, a funded educational program designed to teach piano, voice, guitar, and drums in a high-needs area.
- Touring musician for rock band Dr. Danny, based in New York City.
- Project manager for academic research in documenting/arranging Portuguese folk music for music education.

There is nothing more fulfilling than helping a student succeed. Especially with music, it is difficult to navigate learning on your own. By using proven educational techniques, I can help students get to places they never thought possible. This, alone, makes teaching music one of the most fulfilling professions on earth.
Music is a medium of expression unlike any other. Through music, we engage others in an emotional rollercoaster. By teaching music, I give students the ability to express themselves in ways they have never experienced before. Music is a beautiful thing - it is a gift that I am honored to give.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Syracuse University and a Master of Arts in Music and Music Education from Columbia University.
I received New York Music Teaching Certification in 2020.

I have experience working with students from all age groups, from Kindergarteners to senior citizens.
I work with all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, perceived ability/disability, race, religion, gender, or creed.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How do you best learn? Are you a visual learner? Perhaps you learn well by ear?
What content will encourage you to learn? Do you want to play pop? Maybe your heart lies with classical music? The learning occurs when the student is genuinely interested in the style of music.
