About
Hi! I'm Milan. I'm a 35 year old pianist, conductor and teacher with 15+ years of experience working with children, young adults and even conservatory students.
I've received my early training in some of the best schools and conservatories in Eastern Europe starting at age 5 and my MFA in piano performance from Mannes School of Music in New York.
Besides performing, i have a genuine love and passion for teaching. My approach varies by the personality, ambitions and goals of my students but I don't believe in cutting corners, only adjusting the pace of learning.
I am familiar with (and have used in teaching) most of todays popular piano methods and have also prepared students for widely regarded certification exams such as ABRSM and RC.
There are certain values i try to pass on to my students no matter their level:
1. Good work ethic and attention to detail
2. My own passion and appreciation of music
3. A sense of accomplishment and pride in the work done.
Performance opportunities will be available at least once a year for all of my students post-pandemic!
I work in NYC, mostly Manhattan and Brooklyn but am open to other boroughs as well.
During COVID, I will offer hybrid models starting October. Ratio of in-home vs online lessons can be adjusted on a case-by-case basis.
Thank you for considering me as your choice and hope to hear from you soon!
Milan
I have great joy in meeting and interacting with students of all ages and bringing something new and beautiful into their lives.
Especially with children I enjoy watching them develop into unique individuals and mature in thought and understanding during our time together.
