About

I grew up a competitive swimmer. I had the pleasure of teaching swimming for the last 20 years from petrified swimmer to junior Olympians. I have been an instructor trainer to swim instructors for the last 12 years, so I know a thing or two about swimming. I have traveled the world teaching swimming. My physical therapy background and my experience has helped me modify any stroke for your disability or challenges with range of motion.

Teaching swimming has allowed me to travel the world teaching and refining my technique to better service those I share my expertise with. The joy of sharing a life skill with someone that can improve their quality of life, survival, stress management and health is truly amazing to me. Whether drown proofing a child or helping a 82 year old with a shoulder and hip replacement check off their bucketlist it has always been a priviledge to share my knowledge.

Frequently asked questions

1- You contact your pool and ask is it okay for you to bring in a private swimming instructor for lessons at that facility. If so, you ask is there an extra fee associated with the instructor coming into the facility and the best daily pool availability to do the lessons.

2- Once I have received the answers to those questions, then we can schedule a free consultation swimming lesson.

3- It’s right into the water during the consultation, with me accessing your skill levels and providing you with an overview of what you will be learning in the following lessons.

4- At the conclusion of the consultation, if you are interested in moving forward the scheduling of your next lessons is done and payment will be made. Please know your availability for lessons and that of the pool time upon arriving to the consultation.

I started as competitive swimmer then becoming lifeguard and then an apprentice to some of the industry leaders and innovators in swimming instruction before getting certified myself.

I have taught children from beginner levels to Olympic trials. I have worked with adults ranging from petrified to those needing stroke modifications because of unique disabilities. So the next steps or strokes we will take together.

Look for a leader in the industry with an extensive skill set to get you swimming no matter the uniqueness of your learning experience.

What do you expect to learn specially during the lessons? What would they like to be able to achieve after the lessons? How much practice time outside of the actual lessons are they willing to dedicate weekly to improve upon their new skills?
