What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I introduce students in to the regular class with lessons tailored to all levels from beginner through advanced.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
More than 25 years of training, competiton and teaching experience. Internationally certified 7th degree black belt through Taekwondo International.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Tuition packages include pay-by-month and pay-in-full options, with pricing depending on length of commitment.
How did you get started teaching?
I learned the most about teaching from my instructor Grandmaster Suk Jun Kim, whom I started teaching for in the mid-1990's.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages and varying levels of abilities. Many families train at my school and several of my black belts have been training with me for many years.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We hosted a very successful championship in April 2017, and also traveled to participate in the Taekwon-do International Summer Boot Camp this past August.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Visit my school, meet myself and the rest of the staff. Observe classes and participate in a free trial lesson; ask questions. This will give you the most insight. Remember you'll learn more by doing than by just watching.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your personal goals for your training? Are you ready to commit to personal physical and mental fitness improvement?
