We are a self protection based martial arts academy, specializing in self defense for all ages.
We offer classes for kids and adults of all ages.
Kids: Specializing in anti-bullying and personal safety. Kids learn self confidence and many other lifeskills.

Shotokan Karate for Self Defense:
We bring karate back to its roots and teach karate as it was intended, self and family protection for everyday situations.
Machida Karate for MMA and Fitness
We are also the only school in the northeast US that runs a certified Machida Karate program made famous by Lyoto and Chinzo Machida of UFC & Bellator fame. This challenging program is a great way to get in shape as you learn real techniques for self protection.
We love karate and are dedicated to passing self protection knowledge to our students. With over 80 years of experence between our instructors we focus on techniques that are proven to work.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students schedule a day to come in during a class and are welcome to participate or just observe.
Students that participated are welcomed into a non-judgmental class that are tailored to all skill levels.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our 4 main instructors have over 90 years of combined experience.
Our Machida Karate instructors are all certified by the Machida Karate Association.
