About
I love rock singing, and am happy to help people with other styles of singing as well such as pop, musicals, love songs, etc. I've played bass guitar for 25+ years, helping to hone my ear for music, and I've been in several bands, doing covers and originals, so I have experience singing and playing out.
Over the past 10 years, I've taken lessons from 3 different instructors and taken 3 different online programs. It wasn't until this past year that I found a program and instructor that really worked for me, and I'm eager to share my knowledge to help others avoid the long search I went through to do things such as: 1) seamlessly bridge chest to head voice and avoid vocal cracks, 2) have more power in the head voice, 3) avoid damage to the voice from singing with distortion.
I'm happy to help people from beginner to advanced levels, and I strive to maintain a kind, patient, encouraging, fun, and respectful environment for my lessons.
I get great joy from singing, and want to share that with others.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have an initial set of questions to send you about what things you want to work on and where you're currently at so we can hit the ground running. Will start with a half-hour evaluation in which I'll give you specific practices to start working on, and will continue with one-hour weekly or bi-weekly lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been singing for years and have taken 3 different online singing programs and have had 3 different voice instructors. The first two programs and instructors helped me some, but the third program and instructor really got me improving quickly, and that's what I want to share with you.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$60/h for weekly lessons and $65/h for biweekly (every other week) lessons.
