With over 23 years of culinary years of professional cooking I have the passion & culinary expertise to create dishes that satisfy your food taste and desires. I'm originally from the Caribbean Island of Trinidad & Tobago, so while I'm proficient in a variety of cuisines, my background allows me to bring the Caribbean fusion to satisfy your palette. I began my career at Rothmann's Steak House in East Norwich Long Island in 1995 and then moved on to high end restaurants like Teller's & H2o in Central Islip. I had the honor and priveledge to open the first restaurant, Whitman's Steak House, to honor Walt Whitman, the legendary American poet & journalist. I also had the opportunity to work with Jean Marie Zimmerman, the chef aboard the Queen Mary 2 cruise ship in collaboration with Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Center Long Island, to create restaurant style, yet healthy meals for the patients at that hospital. I'm passionate about sharing proper food preparation, preparing your meals in a "green" environment, and creating meals to suit your diet and lifestyle choices.
I enjoy teaching people how to enhance & or discover their culinary passion & skills and create dishes that are pleasing to the eye and palette. Cooking is an art and when done with love the end result is absolutely amazing.
