So many adults have had poor experiences as children, and want to rekindle that opportunity. My innovative method makes learning to read music easy and rapidly.

NOTE: At this time I ONLY teach in Westchester County and Manhattan due to other student commitments and professional obligations.

My goal is that all my students will love piano and music as much as much as I did as a child. They deserve the best training: to have the gift to create music for the rest of their lives. My lessons began in pre-school and continued into college It has been the greatest fortune and one of the most important aspects of my life to play beautiful music well. It doesn't have to be difficult music to derive enormous satisfaction and bring joy to your life, to your friends, family and community.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Depends on age, and exposure to music training. I prefer working with children and adults who have had no prior training.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

BA NYU School of Education with honors (the music dept. is within the School of Ed)

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$75 per hr. $50 minium because I travel to the student's home.

How did you get started teaching?

I've been teaching on and off for 25 plus years. I've always considered myself an artist, a creative and an educator.

What types of students have you worked with?

All types.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I love chamber music, solo concerts, orchestral concerts, opera and musicals. I attend several chamber music society's events.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure they really understand fundamentals and have good communications skills. Make sure they stress good technique. That will carry you through for the rest of your life.
