We are Portage County's premiere Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy. All classes are tough by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Jason Williard. JW Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is registered as an officaof academy with the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation and the United States Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF/USBJJF). We teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a fun family type atmosphere. We have been voted in the Top on the Akron/Canton Hot List for Best Martial Arts School two years running (2017-18)

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Fully explain all of the aspects of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to the new students. I progress them in slowly so they feel safe and comfortable.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been involved in the martial arts for almost 30yrs. I've been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over 16 yes. I'm a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Eduardo Barros. I've been teaching for several years and started JW Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2016.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Fully research the teacher and their credentials.
