About

I'd like to think my service stands out for a few reasons. First, I love working with people, and I love meeting families of the students I teach. I feel that it is important to have a good working relationship with both students and their parents, which I believe makes the learning process even more enjoyable. I also love seeing progress and celebrating when students make progress, even if it is just a small step!

The thing I enjoy most about teaching is watching students grow in their playing ability, and as humans! I love seeing students perform in our annual violin recital, and I love seeing their faces when they realize how much they've accomplished! I believe that learning to play an instrument is such a valuable thing, which can teach so many important life skills and build up character, and I love helping to provide assistance with that in my community.

Frequently asked questions

If a student is a beginner, I usually start with learning about the violin itself, and then introducing posture and technique. How I begin really depends on each individual student, their goals, and what kind of help they are seeking from me.

I teach primarily from the Suzuki Method and repertoire, and am registered with the Suzuki Association of the Americas and is certified to teach through Suzuki Violin Unit 4.

Yes. My rate is $25 per half hour lesson (or $50 for an hour). I teach from my home studio in Cleveland Heights.

I began teaching during my summers off from college. I completed my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in violin performance and began pursuing teaching positions along with performance opportunities. After exploring the world of teaching, both in the classroom and in private lessons, I knew I wanted to spend my life sharing my knowledge and enjoyment of music with others!

I have worked with students from ages 5 and up! Many of my students are beginners, but some are intermediate players. I love working with students of all ages and levels.
