Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
In our first lesson, we talk about our goals and how we are going to achieve them. I want the student to love music as much as I love teaching them. It's important to me that my students are commited to their musical journey and when they make decisions, they feel more commited. I guide my students, but I let them make their own decisions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my Bachelor's degree in violin performance from Baldwin Wallace Univeristy.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rate is $25/half hour
How did you get started teaching?
I knew from a very early age that I wanted to be a teacher! As I grew older and went to college, I figured out that owning a studio is the aspect of teaching I wanted to do. I couldn't be happier and I genuinely love my job.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all types of students. I start as early as 4 years old and I have retired students as well. I have also worked with children on the autism spectrum, children with ADHD and children with bipolor disorder. In addition, I have worked with adults with dementia. I am very welcoming to any type of student.
