I’m a highly qualified music instructor. I hold a BM in music from Wichita State, a MM from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and I’m finishing my DMA from The University if Oklahoma. I teach orchestra in the Putnam City School District, and I play professionally with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I take the time to get to know my students. I always assess what my student’s goals are, and devise a plan that will help them succeed while also developing as a player and a person. I always challenge my students to grow in their craft.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching privately since 2007. I play professionally with the OKC Philharmonic, and I am the Assistant Orchetrsa director for Putnam City West High School. I hold a BM from WSU, a MM from UC-CCM, and I’m finishing my DMA in music performance from OU.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My prices range from $15-$50 depending on length and distance I have to travel.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching in High School as a senior, and I’ve continued from there.
What types of students have you worked with?
I’ve worked with students as young as 10 to as old as 21. Beginners to advanced.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always go with a teacher that will listen to you, who challenges you, and who cares for your development as a musician and as a person.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What qualifications does this teacher have? What is their experience? Do I get along with them? Will this teacher help me achieve my goals?
