Jeff Swinkin, Piano Lessons
About
I have a doctoral degree in music and currently teach at the University of Oklahoma. As a pianist, I was trained at Eastman and have played concerts across North America, including New York City and San Francisco. I have taught piano and theory privately since 1995. I have also written a seminal text on piano pedagogy (published by Springer). See jswinkin.com for more information.
In lessons, I emphasize process and patience, open communication, creative freedom, and sensitivity to a student's personal needs and goals.
