Chazlen Rook Violin Studio

Welcome to the Chazlen Rook Violin Studio! Teaching is my specialty and greatest joy in my diverse musical career. I offer holistic music lessons to my students that nurtures a closer, more authentic and expressive relationship to music than most violin teachers. These techniques include emphasis in listening skills, transcription, music theory, improvisation, memorization, and creativity. Though the majority of the lesson will still be spent towards meeting your goals, whether that be orchestral or solo playing, fiddling, auditions, or playing for pleasure, I will work with you to make the learning process unique, personal, and gratifying. I have over a decade of playing experience, a B.M. in Violin Performance with a minor in historical performance, and am currently getting my M.M. in Jazz Studies. I regularly perform with a professional string quartet, a local symphony, and a wide array of ensembles of all genres. I look forward to the opportunity to teach you the intricate, beautiful world of the violin!
