About
I love working with students on empowering themselves and their voices! My holistic approach is mind-body oriented, and I use my technical training to really guide students to revealing their full voice. My BM is in Classical Voice from Sacramento State, CA, and I use the techniques breath control, resonance, and power for every genre. I also employ the Alexander Technique to give my students ease. Overall, my students have had amazing results through the years, and I'm really looking forward to more finding their voices!

What I love about teaching voice lessons is really empowering my students to do what they love. I want them to be able to feel powerful and fully self-expressed in their voices and their everyday lives, and my approach helps them achieve that.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I love finding out exactly what my student wants from their lessons - every student has different goals in mind, so I ask them about that first. From there, I make sure to tailor my work to their voice and what they need and want.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My Bachelor's of Music is in Classical Voice performance, and I also went through months of Alexander Technique training. In regards to my students, I've worked in schools teaching music from pre-k up to 8th grade, and in private lessons I've worked with 5-year-olds to 70+-year-olds.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rates are $35/half hour, $45/45 and $55/ hour. I have a discounted rate going on for the first 4 lessons, though!
So the first 4 would be:
$100 - four 30-minute lessons
$150 - four 45-minute lessons
$200 - four 60-minute lessons
How did you get started teaching?
I've always had a passion for teaching and helping others for as long as I can remember. When I was a kid, I did a tutoring program for younger children in elementary school, and always was open to helping friends who were having a harder time. I thought about teaching English, kindergarten, and more as I got older, but eventually found my real passion laid in music. Once I finally had my own private lessons, I realized I wanted to be the one on the other side, empowering people to open up and find their own voices.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with all kinds of students, and nearly every genre of musical style! I adore finding out more about the kids, teens, and adults and what their passions and loves are, and how that brought them to singing lessons. I've had students of so many different ages and backgrounds, and it's always enriched my life.
