Hi, my name is Beth! I teach piano and voice from beginning to advanced levels, and my favorite part about teaching is being able to inspire and encourage my students. It can be difficult to learn music in the first place, so I strive to create a very positive and honest learning environment for all of my students. I have been teaching for 5 years, and I just recently (2023) started teaching at my own home studio! I have a beautiful grand piano, and a welcoming space for my students. No matter if you want to pursue music in the future, or just like music as a hobby, I would love to have the privilege of teaching you!

After performing professionally with Portland Opera I’ve been teaching classical and music theater vocal instruction in the Damascus, Happy Valley and Gresham areas for over 30 years. As a NATS member my students have advanced to regional and national competitions. My singers are consistently winners in OSAA Vocal and Theatrical competitions as well as participants in youth theater productions. I offer a free get acquainted time before you and I commit to working together.

I teach singing, music theory, and songwriting. I am patient, fun to work with, and I work with all levels, beginner to advanced. My goal is to instruct and to provide a fun and satisfying experience with music so it becomes part of your life.
