Ashley is easy to communicate with and helped so much with my specific questions for lyrics and songwriting. She gave me a few chords to try out and it sounded great!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

For Mandarin/Chinese classes, I would look at the student's level of speech and reading skills.

Beginners level: Greetings, Numbers, Basic vocabulary

Intermediate level 1: Phrases, Vocabulary(e.g. transportation, food, occupation), Conversation

Intermediate level 2: Phrases, Vocabulary(e.g. time, family members, business), Conversation

I had a hobby of songwriting  (lyrics, theory) growing up. In high school, I had written a piece for a Trio Dali and Chinese orchestras too. I prefer to cater to my student's specific requirements when it comes to songwriting.

Preferably Pop, Classical, Rap.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I went to an all Chinese Primary/Middle school and as for high school, I was taught a Beijing course. As well as I am a native speaker in Malaysia. I am both fluent in Chinese and English.

I have completed certification of ABRSM and Cambridge Music O-levels with honors.
