About
I am a fun, passionate, and dedicated teacher! Each student has potential for acheivement and growth, and it is a pleasure for me to guide you towards your goals. I was trained by Dr. Terry Durbin in the Suzuki Method for books 1-4, and I have training in traditional violin pedagogy from Professor Hal Grossman and others. I have been teaching for the past 5 years, and I have just moved to Eugene, and I'm looking forward to getting to know the future violinists of Eugene!
Every student has a different story and place in the world; I love that I can bring violin into their story, and that they bring their story to their playing. I'll give you the technical skills you need to play the instrument, and then help you bring your personality to the music!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I offer a free consultation where I get to know you, and we talk about your goals and make a plan. New beginners should have in-person lessons because learning the basics is very hands-on. However, I am very willing to do online lessons with intermediate students.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have official Suzuki training for books 1-4, and years of personal performance experience to inform my teaching of more advanced players.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Message for me for my 30 minute and hourly rates. Lesson lengh depends on the student's age and skill level.
