Harmony Road Music Center is a Music School specializing in Early Childhood Music Education. Our target age for beginning students i 18 months to 12 year. We also teach beginner teens and adults.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Beginning students are assesed and enrolled in a developmentally appropriate and age class.

Classes are availble for toddlers, pre-schoolers and elementary students. Each class level uses teaching materials, techniques and processes that are age-specific.

We develop complete musicians who have play the piano, understand basic theory, can arrange & compose and play rhythm and piano ensembles.

Parents particicpate in class and supervise home practice.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Group Lessons are $25.00 - 35.00 per hour. Classes are organized by age and developmental level. Depending on level, class semesters arranged in 16-25 week modules.

How did you get started teaching?

I was introduced to Harmony Road in 1994 when I enrolled my 4 year old son in a Music in Me class. I recovered my piano skills, became a certified Harmony Road teacher and began teaching classes in 1999.

What types of students have you worked with?

Toddlers through retired adults.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Know why you want (or want your child) to learn piano and theory.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Why do I want to learn piano/theory? For parents - how involved are you willing to be in your child's education? For Teens/Adults - are you willing to do the practice necessary to learn skills?
