My students LOVE piano! They don't need reminders to practice, because their music has its own draw. I keep lessons fun, engaging, and moving forward even if the student has struggled with a concept... there is always a new, fun way to approach that difficult concept and skill. Students who meet with me for a free meet and greet sign up and couldn't be more thrilled. Let me know how I can help you get started in the studio!

My college eductation was Keyboard Theory with a minor in accounting. Right out of college I began teaching private lessons, then did a bit in charter schools, churches, and in 1995 set up my own studio. I had the privilege of teaching amazing students, among them being students with brain injuries, brain trauma, strokes, ADHD, etc. The achievements they accomplished went far beyond just playing the piano. For one, I wathced their reading in school go from 100 words per minute to 390 wpm (400 being average). Their therapists and doctors were amazed, giving some of the credit to learning to play music. After taking a few years off, I am back t ... View Profile

In my studio, music is a means of self-expression and self-discovery. Learning an instrument is a fantastic way for you or your child or teen to build confidence, increase focus, grow creatively, and express emotion. Lessons are offered as weekly 30- and 45-minute sessions in person or via Zoom. Regardless of musical tastes and interests, all students should feel empowered to express themselves through their playing. Learning an instrument requires discipline, but discipline is nothing without love. Even as my students develop a strong technical foundation, my underlying goal is for them to fall in love with the piano and become lifelon ... View Profile

Gifted teachers ARE those that have the actual gift, passion and love of teaching! They use the whole of their experience to instill a love of music in their students. They schedule and plan for the individual needs and learning style of each student they engage with. They constantly research new methods and technol ... View Profile
