Bongiorno Music Studio
About
Jane Jessamine Bongiorno is a classical harpist, pianist, composer, and music educator based in Oregon, with over a decade of music teaching experience and two degrees from Portland State University — a B.A. in Music Performance for Piano and Harp and a B.A. in Liberal Studies, with a minor in Philosophy. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Education Policy and Leadership.
Her background includes orchestral performance, original composition, study abroad in Hamburg, adjudication experience, and an active career as a collaborative performer — including a longstanding duo with her sister and regular work accompanying singers, instrumentalists, and ensembles. She has also served as music theory teacher for the Portland Youth Philharmonic.
At Bongiorno Music Studio, Jane offers individualized instruction in classical piano, harp, and music theory for all ages and levels, in-person and online. Her lessons are rooted in classical tradition and taught with genuine warmth.
She is a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and the Oregon Music Teachers Association (OMTA), and the founder of Oregon Octave Academy.
