About

I enjoy teaching. We have fun here. We perform twice during the year. We have a Christmas Program in December at the Pythian Home and have a recital in the spring.

I love developing relationships with my students and watching them grow. I love what I do. There is a warm and enjoyable feeling in my home and a wonderful setting to explore learning to play. We also play together and this fall had a night when my students played duets, trios and quartets together it was great fun.

I am also a vocalist and play a little piano. i got started teaching when our 3rd son asked to play the violin. I had played in the Vancouver symphony orchestra for 10 years and thought it was a good time to learn how to teach. I worked in tandem with a seasoned teach, Sue Yunker, and began studying at Suzuki institues.

It's important that you meet with the teacher. Get a feeling for the environment in which you'll be studying and get a feeling for the teachers personality and ability to relate to you.

They need to discuss lesson schedules and available times to practice so they can make a commitment to the whole pracrtice.
