About
I have been teaching music for over 15 years. My studio is currently located at my home in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania. I do also teach online
I believe that in order to be accomplished in a given field, you need to understand all aspects of that field. Therefore, I provide my students with the unique opportunity of well-rounded music education including, music history, theory, technique, composition, etc.
In order to help my students grow, I am furthering my education. I went to Susquehanna University for Violin Performance and I am graduating from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Education and Musicology/Ethnomusicology. I have performed in many aspects of the music industry. I have done solo work, chamber, orchestral, and other forms of performance and orchestral settings, such as The Young People’s Philharmonic Orchestra of Bethlehem.
I have a Facebook page that is dedicated to my studio. NatalieHViolin is the page name.
I enjoy watching my students grow. I really love when it is Recital Season because everyone is so nervous! However, all of my students still build up the courage to get up in front of a crowd and do what a lot of people are afraid of doing, show their emotions and perform.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If the student has been playing for a little while, I will have them play something they have been working on for me at their first lesson. If a student is new to music, I will walk them through step-by-step on how to read music, understanding all the parts of their instrument, and making sure all their questions are answered in their first few weeks of lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Music Performance education. I am currently going to school for Music Education and Musicology/Ethnomusicology. I have also been teaching for 12 years and have performed in multiple different music settings.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I start my student off with 30-minute lessons. Eventually, the repertoire will increase in difficulty and amount and we will move to 60-minute lessons.
30-minute lessons are $25/lesson.
60-minute lessons are $50/lesson.
Payments are made once a month at the first lesson of every month and cover all lessons for that month.
Example:
My child has lessons on Wednesdays. There are four lessons in April, therefore, I pay the teacher $100.00 on April 4th, 2018.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching in 2010. My cousin, Marlee, was my first student and I taught her in exchange for chemistry tutoring. After teaching her, I realize how much I love teaching others and began my studio.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all experiences and ages.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would tell the student to make sure the teachers they are looking at offer a consultation lesson. I do that because it is important to be comfortable with and like your teacher. If you do not feel comfortable, you will not learn.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
