About
I have a physical education and special Ed degree from Temple University. I competed in numerous tournaments on the Temple Karate Team. I also have extensive teaching experience as well as karate teaching experience. Furthermore, with my PE degree, I am able to integrate stretching and cardio into Karate lessons is so desired. You will have your choice of : Karate for sel-defense, exercise , learning specific techniques, and Cardio, or to combine them any way you want.
I have studied with the late Teruyuki Okazaki for ten years, as well as attended seminars with several famous karateka.
It is an enormous pleasure not only passing on all of the knowledge I have learned over the years, but also to watch the students grow in self-discipline, confidence, maturity and ability.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Initially, I like to interview them to see what they want to learn. Self defense? Takedowns, high kicks? A combination of the above. I also evaluate their fitness and fitness goals in relation to karate.
We then move in to how often they want to learn and for what duration.
Finally, I ask them to share with me any limitations or disabilities they may have, and discuss how we can work around them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree from Temple University in Physical Education. While there, I was on the University Karate Team. Furthermore, I worked for a large chain of karate schools in order to learn different styles and techniques.

If I have to travel to you, it's $50 per hour. If you come to me, it's $45 per hour
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching when I was in college. A local school was looking for instructors, so I applied and got the job.
