FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Initially, I like to interview them to see what they want to learn. Self defense? Takedowns, high kicks? A combination of the above. I also evaluate their fitness and fitness goals in relation to karate.
We then move in to how often they want to learn and for what duration.
Finally, I ask them to share with me any limitations or disabilities they may have, and discuss how we can work around them.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a degree from Temple University in Physical Education. While there, I was on the University Karate Team. Furthermore, I worked for a large chain of karate schools in order to learn different styles and techniques.
