Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start with a trail lesson to meet and assess. After your first, we make a comprehensive plan suited to meet your goals. Then away we go!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our teachers are bachelors Graduates or higher and actively work in the field as performers.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$25 per half hour lesson, tuition due at the beginning of each month
package deals listed at www.keyofglessons.com
How did you get started teaching?
I started LKG while I was in college after I was encouraged by my first piano teacher!
What types of students have you worked with?
all backgrounds and experience levels, ages s4-65
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Getting chills as one of my youngest students began to improvise for the first time.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
check their credentials. Don't agree to see a teacher who would give voice lessons to a child under the age of 13.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
You should come prepared with 2-3 specific goals in mind and idea of what you'd like to do with your new skills. Music is good for everyone, and once you learn, you will have it for your entire life.
