DanceSport Academy is the Best Ballroom Dance studio in the Philadelphia region, Main Line, located in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. It was voted the Best Adult Dance Studio by the Main Line Magazine and has been teaching Main Line and Philadelphia community for more than 20 years! Dancesport's teachers and coaches are highly trained and certified dance instructors. They work with children, teenagers, adults, wedding couples, as well as, amateur and professional dance competitors. Dancesport Academy offers private lessons and group classes; wedding dance preparation, competition training, social dance parties, and Latin/ Salsa dance nights.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We use personalize style fo teaching! We offer a complimentary first lesson to assess the needs of our students and their future dance goals. We treat each student as an individual and adjust our skills to our students' level, skills, and goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are hihgly trained professional coaches and instructors. We are experienced in both American and International Style of dances, as well as, we follow the yearly guideliness of teaching released by National Dance Counil of America.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We offer a complimentary first lesson and offer several packges that differ in pricing.
How did you get started teaching?
Scott Lazarov, the owner of the studio started his career at Arthur Murray's Dance studio in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We relocated to Philadelphia to practice competitive dance with his partner. Since then, Scott has earned finalist placement in every major dance competition including World Salsa and Mambo Championships, as well as, he was a four-time US and Wolrd PRO-AM Champion!
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with variety of students from beginners to advanced, competitive dancers.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We organzie variety of dance events on a monthly basis. Recently we hosted a Tango workshop with renovated coaches from Argentina, as well as, our yearly Showcase event.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Come in a check how you feel with the instructor. Don't hire someone based on financial or distance reasons but choose visely. The most imporant is to find someone who will make you feel comfortable and happy on the dance floor!
