About
You've made it this far. You know you're off to a great start when you've begun to search for information on how to change your life by trying something new.
I'm Liz Becerra and if you're like me, you're looking for something new and exciting to do. I still remember my first dance class. I was really sick beforehand (don't ask me why I still decided to go) and I felt horrible but guesswhat... I LOVED it. Did I feel all better after the class was over? No, but during that hour I forgot that I was sick. I felt AMAZING. I was learning something new and most importantly I was having FUN!
Over the course of 16 years this has been what dance has been to me. It has been my outlet when I wasn't feeling so great or when I was having a bad day. I don't know what your personal goals are but I'm sure you can relate to me in the sense of needing a healthy outlet for life's everyday struggles.
No matter where you're from or what experience you have, I would love to get to know what your goals are and how I can help. You can check out the website or call me directly. I look forward to hearing from you!
I love helping people to find confidence, strength and talents within themselves. Everyone has the ability to dance and I love being there to help them grow in the process. Dance isn't just about learning steps or remembering moves. It's about developing confidence, believing in yourself and achieving goals. Nothing is more rewarding than watching someone become more comfortable and confident with themselves and having a smile on their face when they realize the talent I see within them all along.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always start off by speaking with the student and determining what their overall goal is. Then from there, we work together to build a program catered to their needs. Each lesson is specific to what they need to achieve their goals and grow as a dancer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been dancing for 16 years and have traveled the world training with some of the best dancers in the industry. I have trained with World Champion dancers, coaches, instructors and world renowned performers who have all contributed to my growth and success.

How did you get started teaching?
I started my dance training at the age of 15 at the Atrium Dance Studio in NJ. I trained there for about a year and was instantly hoooked. I then went on to train with World Champion Dancer Darlin Garcia, where I has spent the last 12 years working closely with him and his company Art In Motion Latin Dancers. Over the last 16 years I have since grown into an instructor, performer, choreographer and World Champion dancer. I travel the world teaching, performing and competing. What started as a hobby turned into the greatest career I could have ever imagined :-)
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages, background and levels of experience. I have worked with kids as young as 6 years old and adults of all age ranges. If there is one thing I can say about dance, it's that it is NEVER too late to learn and have fun.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Speak to your potential instructor. Ask questions and tell them exactly what you are looking for. Check out their website and look up videos of them on YouTube. There are a lot of great instructors in this industry but you want to make sure they are the right fit for you. Just becuase they are great does not mean it's the best choice for you and your specific needs. Don't be afraid to shop around. Also, be mindful of pricing. If someone charges very low, then chances are you are going to get the same quality of instruction. There is generally an industry standard of pricing so see what the overall pricing is in your area and stick with that.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1.) Why do I want to take dance classes?
2.) What do I hope to achieve?
3.) Am I willing to invest time and money into achieving this goal?
4.) As with anything in life, am I willing to practice and give this a fair shot?
