Philly Dance Lessons

We began taking lessons with Jesse to get ready for our wedding - we wanted to make sure that our first dance was one to remember. We started taking lessons about 4-6 weeks before our big day, and Jesse got us ready in no time. Not only did we nail down our first dance, but we learned a few other moves to break out on the dance floor at our wedding as well - it was a hit! Since we had so much fun working with Jesse, we decided to continue taking lessons, learning hustle, swing, salsa and bachata. Weve been able to use everything we learned at weddings, out at night, and just about anywhere else we hear music. We HIGHLY recommend Jesse for weddings, or just to get out and have some fun!

Jesse is not only a great dancer, he is an amazing teacher. I came in thinking of salsa as a glittery superficial fling and left with a whole new life philosophy. But it was not just philosophy - Jesse taught me the moves and customized the difficulty to my ability and my desire to do or not to do something advanced. His light and easy going personality was very helpful at that - he just threw me into the swirl of dance and taught me how to follow and to relax in the absolute unknown of whats coming next at you. A learning that travels way beyond dancing! Thats the greatest value, regardless of how many moves you learn by heart. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the dance lessons. We had so much fun during the lessons learning new steps and hanging out with you! We really appreciate the help for our first dance at our wedding. It was a big hit and we had so much fun. Our guests were impressed with our dance skills and we were able to use the moves throughout the night during other dances. Thank you! I give Jesses dance instructor talents a 5 star out of 5. Hes simply excellent. Hes patient, detailed (can feel, see, detect, and review every aspect of your moves to assess improvement), time conscience (makes sure hes on time for every single lesson and expects the same of the student), well-trained (hes highly skilled in so many different styles of dancing. I was focused on just salsa style but he introduced me to the Latin & swing styles of dance as well), and he worked very well with my level of experience and helped me elevate my dance talents to a more consistent and deliberate style. I came to him with some level of experience and my goal was to increase my following (being led) skills, which I did complete that goal. I also came to him with experience with at least 4 other dance instructors. I am an adult student who got into partner dancing only about three years ago so I needed much help in the beginning. Learning with Jesse increased my skills more rapidly because he taught me the details and intentions of the various moves and dances (as opposed to just teaching me routines). I will use Jesse again for dance lessons. Very professional and talented.

My dad and I wanted to do an upbeat swing dance for our father/daughter dance at my wedding, and Jesse came highly recommended as an instructor. He has a great philosophy about dance, a terrific sense of humor and a hands-on approach to teaching – which is exactly what we needed! At every lesson, he was patient, positive and professional. He provided specific and helpful feedback, and even a few simple exercises to help us correct habits. The lessons were a lot of fun and our wedding guests were impressed with our new moves!

My husband and I enjoyed working with Jesse on our first dance. He helped us to put together relaxed choreography that we were comfortable with doing in front of everyone. We would highly recommend working with Jesse on your first dance or just to some have fun!
